Web Development

Fast, static websites that replace WordPress and Wix. Built to rank and to convert.

Most logistics websites are a WordPress theme with a dozen plugins and a page speed score in the teens. Slow on a phone, a dev invoice for every change, and a target for the next plugin exploit. We treat the website as the conversion base: the place every other piece of marketing sends people, and the place Google and the AI engines read to decide whether to recommend you.

Built to convert

Clear messaging at the top of every page, service pages that answer the buyer’s question in the first paragraph, a quote or enquiry path that is never more than one click away, and proof (case studies, numbers, client logos) where a sceptical operations manager expects to find it. The site is written for the person comparing three carriers at 9pm, not for your competitors.

Built so AI recommends you

Buyers now ask ChatGPT and Google’s AI Overview who to use. We structure every site so those engines can read it: one page per service, direct answers, consistent company details, Organization and Service schema that matches the visible text, and case studies with real results. When Google was asked for a container transport provider in Melbourne, its AI Overview named four companies. Three of them are HAUL clients. We explain what goes into that in how logistics buyers find you in AI search.

The stack

We build static sites on Astro, keep the code and content in GitHub, and host on Netlify. Every page is a plain file served from a global network, so it loads in under a second on a phone, has no database or admin login to attack, and costs almost nothing to host. There are no plugins to update because there are no plugins. Every change is recorded and reversible. We use the same stack on our own site, and we wrote up why we moved off WordPress.

Moving without losing rankings

Before anything is designed we crawl your current site and sixteen months of Search Console data, keep every URL that earns traffic, and map the rest to the right new page with permanent redirects. Nothing you have earned in Google is thrown away. Arrow Transport’s search impressions climbed from the week the new site went live and traffic rose 472% over the year.

What is included

An audit of the current site and search data, design to a brief you sign off, copy for every page, schema markup, image optimisation, forms that reach your inbox, analytics, a privacy policy, redirects for every old address, and the launch checklist we run on every site. Inside a marketing partnership the rebuild lands in weeks four to six; on its own it is a three to six week project.

Questions we get asked

Can we edit the site ourselves?

Yes, through a simple editor on the content files, and most owners prefer to send us the change. Either way the edit is recorded and can be rolled back in a minute.

Will our Google rankings drop when we move?

Not when the redirects are done properly. Every address that earns traffic is kept or permanently redirected before launch. In our experience a faster site with cleaner titles and schema goes the other way.

What does hosting cost?

Usually nothing for a brochure site on Netlify's free tier. The only ongoing costs are your domain and whatever content work you have us doing.

Do you build customer portals or tracking?

The marketing site is static by design. A portal, live tracking or a booking system needs an application behind it, and we scope that separately so the public site stays fast.

How long does a logistics website take?

Three to six weeks for most carriers, forwarders and brokers. The usual delay is waiting on photography, which is why we often run the photo shoot in the same window.
